Youth
Mission: -CONNECT - GROW
To provide opportunities for Middle and High School Youth to know Christ and learn about Christ in a comfortable age appropriate atmosphere. To teach core biblical truths, to encourage the study and memorization of scripture, personal daily quiet time, and a personal relationship with Christ.
Theme Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:12- "Let no despise the youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. "
Team Responsibilities:
- Teach /Co-teach Youth Sunday School class. 6th Grade / 7th-8th Grade / High School
- Lead, oversee, or participate in small group studies on Wednesday night - 6th Grade / 7th-8th Grade / High School
- Lead, oversee, or participate in discussions relevant to biblical relevance to real life issues.
- Teach/Co-teach Sunday Night Discipleship 1x per month.
- Provide a listening ear and trust so that youth can discuss personal struggles and issues.
- Set an example of Christian living. (Relationships, Friendships, Media, Habits)
- Assist with planning and chaperoning special events/activities held for the Youth retreats, lock ins, trips, activities and events.
- Provide opportunities for youth to get involved in local mission opportunities.
- Follow up on visitors with phonecall, email or postcard
