Summer Enrichment Camp Frequently Asked Questions

 

What are the hours of SEC?
The hours of operation are from 6am – 6pm.
6 – 8:15 PreCamp;
8:30 – 4:30 Camp;
4:45 – 6:00 Aftercare

What time does my child have to arrive at camp?

Students must arrive by 8:15am for the required Chapel Worship Experience.

What are the age limits for camp?

A child must be 5 years old by May 26, 2015 – youth going into the 8th Grade. (A birth certificate is required for 5 year old participants)

Do I have to provide food for my child?

Breakfast and Lunch and afternoon snack are provided daily.
No breakfast will be served after 8:00am.
Optional morning snack may be provided by parents.

What kind of Field Trips will my child go to and how much will it cost?

There will be weekly field trips.
There may be a fee associated with the field trips.
We try to keep the cost between $3 and $10 per child.
You will receive a calendar of field trips at Parent Orientation.

What type of activities will my child be involved in?

The morning is broken down by grade and will be a time of crafts, character building, academics, and bible study.
In the afternoon we combine into larger groups by grade level and have planned recreation and organized free time.

What can my child bring to camp?

The only thing that we ask that you provide is a water bottle every day.
Every child must wear or bring sneakers to participate in the afternoon recreation time.
We ask that no toys, music or games be brought from home.
We can’t be responsible for any item brought from home.
Kindergarten, and 1st graders will bring a blanket for rest time after lunch.

How much does SEC cost?

There is a $25 per child registration fee.
Camp costs $75/week.
Siblings rate $70/week per child.
Tuition is due on Monday.
A late fee will be assessed if payment is not received after 6pm on Monday.

What does my registration fee include?

The $25 per child registration fee includes a 2015 Cornerstone Summer Enrichment Camp T-Shirt.
It also helps to cover curriculum, materials and administration costs.

What if my child will not be here for part of the summer?

In order to register you must commit to at least 5 weeks of the summer.
We have a very high demand and can’t accommodate part time or drop-in students.

What if I have more questions?

Every family enrolled (both new and returning) must attend one Parent Orientation Meeting to be scheduled in May.
You will see our facility, meet the Pastor and some of the Camp Staff, receive detailed camp information, a schedule and calendar.
Every question you have will be answered at that time.

How do I sign up?

Fill out the registration form and return it to the Church office. You may fax, email, mail, or drop off the registration form, but registration is not complete until the $25 registration fee is paid.

The demand for SEC is very high and spaces fill quickly!
